1. The table shows the percentage of total population of a city in different age group. Study the table and answer the questions.

Solution:

Percentage of people below 36 years
= (20 + 18.25 + 16.75)%
= 55%
55% = 22 millions

\begin{aligned} 1 % = \frac{22}{55} \\ 12.5 % = \frac{22}{55} \times 12.5 \\ = 5 millions \end{aligned}
