1. A hemisphere of lead of radius 6 cm is cast into a right circular cone of height 75 cm. The radius of the base of the cone is :

Solution:
Let the radius of the cone be R cm
Then,
13π×R2×75=23π×6×6×6R2=(2×6×6×675)R2=14425R2=(12)2(5)2R=125R=2.4cm
