Solution:

Let the number be x
Then,

\begin{aligned} \Leftrightarrow (\frac{1}{5} x + 4) = (\frac{1}{4} x - 10) \\ \Leftrightarrow \frac{x}{20} = 14 \\ \Leftrightarrow x = 14 \times 20 \\ \Leftrightarrow x = 280 \end{aligned}
