1. Arun started a business investing Rs. 38000. After 5 months Bakul joined him with a capital of Rs. 55000. At the end of the year the total profit was Rs. 22000. What is the approximate difference between the share of profits Arun and Bakul ?

Solution:
Arun:Bakul=(38000×12):(55000×7)=456000:385000=456:385Required difference=Rs.[22000×(456841385841)]=Rs.(22000×71841)=Rs. 1857.31=Rs. 1857
