1. Find the LCM and HCF of 2.5, 0.5 and 0.175.

Solution:

\begin{aligned} 2.5 = \frac{25}{10}, \\ 0.5 = \frac{5}{10}, \\ 0.175 = \frac{175}{1000}, \end{aligned}

Now,
LCM of two or more fractions is given by:

\begin{aligned} \frac{LCM of Numerators}{HCF of Denominators} \\ Thus, \\ \frac{LCM of 25, 5, 175}{HCF of 10, 10, 1000} \\ = \frac{175}{10} \\ = 17.5 \end{aligned}
