1. If 20% of A = 30% of B = $\frac{1}{6}$ of C, then A : B : C is -

A. 2 : 3 : 6

B. 3 : 2 : 16

C. 10 : 15 : 18

D. 15 : 10 : 18

Solution:

\begin{aligned} 20 % of A = 30 % of B = \frac{1}{6} of C \\ \Rightarrow \frac{20 A}{100} = \frac{30 B}{100} = \frac{C}{6} \\ \Rightarrow \frac{A}{5} = \frac{3 B}{10} = \frac{C}{6} = k (s a y) \\ \Rightarrow A = 5 K, B = \frac{10 k}{3}, C = 6 k \\ ∴ A : B : C = 5 k : \frac{10 k}{3} : 6 k \\ = 5 : \frac{10}{3} : 6 \\ = 15 : 10 : 18 \end{aligned}
