1. If the wheel of the engine of a train 427 metres in circumference makes 7 revolutions in 4 seconds, then the speed (in km/hr) of the train is :

Solution:
Distance covered in 4 sec :
=(307×7)m=30m
Distance covered in 1 sec = 304
Distance covered in 1 revolution :
=(304)m=152m
∴ Required speed :
=(152)m/s=(152×185)km/hr=27km/hr
