1. In a partnership, A invests 16 of the capital 16 for of the time, B invests 13 of the capital for 13 of the time and C, the rest of the capital for the whole time. Out of a profit of Rs. 4600, B's share is ?

Solution:
Suppose, A invests Rs.x6 for y6 monthsThen, B invests Rs.x3 for y3 monthsC invests[x(x6+x3)]i.e., Rs.x2 for y monthsA:B:C = (x6×y6):(x3×y3):(x2×y)=136:19:12=1:4:18Hence, B's share=Rs(4600×423)=Rs. 800
