1. The curved surface area of a cylindrical pillar is 264 m2 and its volume is 924 m3. Find the ratio of its diameter to its height.

Solution:
πr2h2πrh=924264r=(924264×2)r=7m
And,
2πrh=264h=(264×722×12×17)h=6m
∴ Required ratio :
=2rh=146=7:3
