Solution:

Let the number be x
Then,

\begin{aligned} \Leftrightarrow x - \frac{3}{5} x = 50 \\ \Leftrightarrow \frac{2}{5} x = 50 \\ \Leftrightarrow x = (\frac{50 \times 5}{2}) \\ \Leftrightarrow x = 125 \end{aligned}
