Solution:

Let the number be x
Then,

\begin{aligned} \Leftrightarrow \frac{3}{4} x - \frac{1}{3} x = 60 \\ \Leftrightarrow \frac{5 x}{12} = 60 \\ \Leftrightarrow x = (\frac{60 \times 12}{5}) \\ \Leftrightarrow x = 144 \end{aligned}
