1. Two partners invest Rs. 125000 and Rs. 85000 respectively in a business and agree that 60% of the profit should be divided equally between them and the remaining profit is to be divided into ratio of their capitals. If one partner gets Rs. 300 more than the other. Find the total profit made in the business ?

A. Rs. 3739.50

B. Rs. 3937.50

C. Rs. 3749.50

According to the question,
Note: 60% of profit should be divided equally between them

\begin{aligned} 8 units = Rs . 300 \\ 1 unit = Rs . \frac{300}{8} \\ 42 units = Rs . \frac{300 \times 42}{8} \\ 40 % of profit \\ = Rs . \frac{300 \times 42}{8} \\ 100 % profit \\ = Rs . \frac{300 \times 42 \times 100}{8 \times 40} \\ = Rs . 3937 .50 \end{aligned}
