1. Which city's RRTS station was inaugurated recently?
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) inaugurated the Meerut South station on the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) on Sunday, as per an official statement, making it the first of three RRTS stations to be opened in the region. The RRTS project, aimed at connecting Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, is a part of the Delhi Metro Phase 4. With the opening of Meerut South station, the total operational section now covers 42 km and comprises 25 stations, easing travel for those commuting between these cities and reducing travel times significantly. The service aims to alleviate traffic congestion and pollution in the region, offering an alternative to the heavily congested roads.
