1. With a 5% discount on the cost of sugar a buyer could purchase 2 kg more sugar for Rs. 608. Selling Price of Sugar is:

\begin{aligned} Let Initial Price of sugar was X . \\ After Discount of 5 %, \\ the price of the sugar become, \\ = X - 5 % o f X \\ = X - \frac{5 X}{100} \\ = \frac{100 X - 5 X}{100} \\ = \frac{95 X}{100} \\ Amount of sugar now, \\ Buyer gets in R s .608, \\ = \frac{608}{\frac{95 X}{100}} \\ = \frac{608 \times 100}{95} \\ Amount of sugar he gets - \\ before the discount, \\ = \frac{608}{X} \\ Now, According to question, \\ \frac{608}{\frac{95 X}{100}} - \frac{608}{x} = 2 \\ On Solving \\ X = R s . 16 \\ After discount price become \\ = 16 - 5 % o f 16 \\ = R s . 15.20 \end{aligned}
